What the programme offers
The core of the offer is non-dilutive. Awards are made as equity-free grants rather than investments, which matters at pre-seed stage: a founder who takes a grant keeps the cap table intact for a later priced round.
Around that sits the standard accelerator apparatus — mentoring, structured curriculum, investor exposure and a demo event. The value of that apparatus varies widely by programme and is difficult to assess before a cohort completes.
Why women-focused programmes persist
