Corrections Policy
How Cairo Stream handles factual errors, clarifications, updates and requests for correction.
Our commitment
When Cairo Stream publishes something inaccurate, we correct it promptly and transparently. We do not quietly delete or rewrite published errors.
How corrections appear
- Correction — a factual error is fixed and a dated note is added to the article explaining what was wrong.
- Clarification — wording that could reasonably be misread is sharpened, with a note.
- Update — new developments are added to a running story, with an updated timestamp.
Requesting a correction
Email the article link, the specific passage in question, and the correct information with a source to editor@cairostream.com. Requests are reviewed by an editor, normally within two business days.
Figures reported by sources
Statistics are reported as published by the named source at the time of writing. When that source later revises a figure, we treat it as an update rather than an error, and note the revision in the article.
Corrections on record
No corrections have been issued to date. Any correction, clarification or substantive update is recorded on the article itself, alongside its updated timestamp, so readers can see what changed. How our reporting is produced is described in the newsroom page.
