The Cairo Stream Newsroom byline

Articles on Cairo Stream are published under the collective byline Cairo Stream Newsroom. This is a deliberate editorial choice, not a placeholder: reporting, editing and fact-checking are carried out by the editorial desk as a whole, and the publication takes collective responsibility for every article it publishes.

We do not publish invented author names, fictional staff profiles or fabricated credentials. As named reporters join the masthead, their bylines and profiles will appear on their own articles, and the collective byline will remain only where a story is genuinely desk-produced.

How a story is produced

• A development is identified from a primary source — a regulator, ministry, operator, official filing, court or company announcement.
• The claim is checked against the source document itself rather than a secondary report.
• The article is written in original Cairo Stream language. We do not republish press releases as reporting.
• Every factual claim is attributed in the Sources section at the foot of the article, with a link where one is publicly available.

Publication dates

Publication dates reflect when Cairo Stream published the article. We verify the date of the underlying source before publishing, and we do not backdate or forward-date articles to make coverage appear earlier or more current than it is. Substantive changes after publication carry a visible updated timestamp.

Photography and illustrations are used illustratively and are captioned as such. They are not presented as documentary evidence of a specific event, place or person, and they do not carry third-party logos or trademarks.
